Is it OK to leave bedroom drawers open?

Sometimes i leave my bedroom wardrobe drawers open during the day. I am the only one using this bedroom and occasionally my mum comes in to check whether the room is tidy. Whenever she discovers that there is a wardrobe door open she gets angry and threatens to cut off my pocket money. She says that leaving drawers open is unjustifiable. Please could someone explain to me what the big problem is?

2. Its not big deal to shut drawers or wardrobe doors..whats you problem? You don`t want moths or the like getting onto your clothes.
3. What's the big deal, they look better closed. Anyway if all were open it could tip over and hurt someone.
4. Well it does make the room look unkept but I don't see the problem in it... I leave doors or drawers open all the time... I prefer not too but sometimes it happens... But really , how hard is it to shut them before you leave.... just try to remember.... I'm sure she wont be as mad if you only forget to do it every now and again...

6. I think because the room looks messy with the drawers open and everything is showing. Other than that, it's your room and one can leave it how he likes ONLY if he gets to clean it though, if your mum cleans after you, than it is only fair that you help her by at least closing the drawers.
7. Do you have any pets? They could get in there & poo. Or eat your stuff. You're clothes can get dusty. & Musty. Why not close them, it's a big deal to her& she pays the bills.
8. Just close the drawers. When you're grown up and not getting "pocket money" from your mommy you can do what you want. Until then, it's her house, her rules.
9. She's overreacting, but you're being silly. Just shut the drawers, it doesn't hurt you. In the greater scheme of things it probably doesn't have any effect on anything, but it's good for you to practice tidiness (it's a social skill that will keep you from being alone and friendless in your old age) and it's not good to go on doing something that upsets your mother.
10. There are two problems. First your Mum, is a neat person, so the open drawer is offensive. Second, if you push it enough, you will not get your "pocket money". Shut the drawers, and eliminate both problems.
11. My demonic Mother is exactly the same. Sometimes I'm in a rush and don't have time to make sure my room is all perfect. It's your room and it's up to you what things are like in there. But to keep her happy, maybe you should try and shut them. ;) Gives you a bit more of a quiet life.
