How can i get drawers to run smoothly on a pine chest of drawers?

  1. Pencil lead, anything graphite (sadly always black though) silicone polish, or just rub a bar of soap along all the edges.
  2. Try good old fashioned 'lard'. That is what my mum used to use. :)
  3. use beeswax as soap cloggs up silicone dries wax does neither
  4. My Mother always uses Candle wax with good results.
  5. rub a candle down the runners and that should do the trick. the wax lubricates the runners and will last for years
  6. bees wax is the best thing to use rub onto both parts of the runners,then they should run ok.
  7. if it has steel runners wd 40 them if it runs on the wood it self you can buy plastic corner pieces that you put in the corners of the drawer opening
  8. Spray the drawer runners with furniture polish. Works great.
  9. Grease the runners with candle wax.
  10. Candle wax is the best
