How do I 'stress' pine drawers which we are painting cream?

1. candle wax clean your drawers and make sure they are dry, then take an ordinary household candle and rub it along the places that would show signs of wear along the front. edges of drawers etc then paint your paint wont adhere where the candle is and once you are finished and its dry rub with very fine sand paper until you have a look you are happy with
