Is it OK to leave bedroom drawers open? Sometimes i leave my bedroom wardrobe drawers open during the day. I am the only one using this bedroom and occasionally my mum comes in to check whether the room is tidy. Whenever she discovers that there is a wardrobe door open she gets angry and threatens to cut off my pocket money. She says that leaving drawers open is unjustifiable. Please could someone explain to me what the big problem is?

How do I remove my bedroom dresser drawers? I bought a very large, heavy expensive dresser last year and am moving now. I want to remove the drawers to make it lighter to move. In all other cheap dressers I bought in the past you pull them out until it stops, then lift it up or tip it at an angle to get it out. With this dresser, I pull the drawer out until it stops and it doesn't tip or lift out in any direction. I tried to feel for a latch in the back but I can't get my hands back there very easily. Is there some common tricks I should try?

i have excessive green/black mould on the drawers in the bedroom & on the back of the wardrobes.? it is just on the bottom of drawers and back of wardrobes. it is also on the wooden photo frames on the window sill. the carpet is damp and clothes feel damp when taking out of cupboards and wardrobes. the bed clothes and curtains are not effected except to feel cold. it seems to affecting wood only. there are no signs of wallpaper coming away from walls and all exterior walls seem dry. it has recently been redecorated about 6 months ago. when touched the mould wipes off the wood. it seems to be coming from the bottom of teh furniture and rising upwards. eg the bottom drawers are affected first

Bedroom chest of drawers going through fitted bedroom specialist Hammonds (uk).? I am still trying to decide whether to go for 2 chests (one for me one for the hubby!) either in 6, 8 or even 10 drawers in total. My concerns are whether too many will look to much in an average size bedroom in the dark walnut, with matching wardrobes & bedside units. Then again is having to little storage a bad idea? at the moment we have gone for 6 drawers (2 large chests) however these come up quite low? & Hammonds dont do a 8 drawer chest we would need to purchase a 10 drawer then get it down! Maybe the 8 drawer would be in the middle however, the cost increase's, what a surprise! Anyone have hammonds furniture or any suggestions when planning out new bedroom furniture?

Will putting fake snakes help keep nosy people out of drawers and cabinets? Well I can't buy locks for every single thing, so I have decided to buy those rubber snakes and put them in places where people might be curious to look like in bathroom cabinets or even in bedroom dresser drawers if they so much as get into the bedroom.

I have a 1950's bedroom set and the chest of drawers sustained water/salt damage from an aquarium. Help!? Most of the top of the chest just has "white" water marks. There is a 5-6" area where there is water damage and it looks very dark. Water also dripped down the sides of the chest. The stain is very light and I am wondering if I can still have this same light finish. What do I do besides yell at my niece? Is there a way, that after I get the water marks off and the damage fixed, I can "spread" the good color stain over the rest of the top? These salt water stains are really a mess. Is my 65 litre aquarium safe on my bedroom chest of drawers? Hi there, I have a 65 litre aquarium (L50cmxW30cm) on my Ikea chest of drawers (L110cmxW55cmxH90cm). The unit has been put together very well and has a good thick top to it (nearly an inch). However as it is not a commercial stand and is not a solid wood unit I am worried that it is not a suitable home for my tank. It has been on there since October without any problems so far but my paranoid side is taking over and I'm wondering whether it would be safer in the long run to replace the unit with a solid wood chest of drawers. Space will not really allow for any other option; its either this or get ride of the fish sadly which I really don't want to do. Can anyone put my mind at rest? By the way, the Ikea website says the flat pack weight of the drawers is 47kg. Help!!

How can we reduce the humidity in our bedroom? Our bedroom is directly above a store room (not our property) and we have a high level of humidity which has caused damp to form on the underside of our mattress. How can I measure the level of humidty? How much humidity is acceptable? and how can I reduce any excess? How can I declutter my bedroom? I'm a teenager, before I start. My bedroom, even when tidy, looks cluttered. When I've made the bed, vacuumed, still looks cluttered.
